Contemporary Front + Backyard Landscape - Mequon, WI

The original landscaping around this contemporary home in Mequon, Wisconsin was ready for a fresh, modern update. Our clients reached out to us for our ability to create landscapes that feel seamlessly connected to the architecture. For the front yard, we worked with the existing walkway and introduced all‑new plantings—boxwoods, flowering shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses—carefully selected to thrive among the many mature trees already on the property.

In the backyard, the existing patio was undersized for today’s outdoor living needs. Our redesign features a new concrete patio organized into multiple outdoor rooms, giving the family ample space to relax and entertain. The layout includes a dining area beneath an overhead pergola, an outdoor kitchen with a bar island, and a dedicated firepit area. Pebble runnels in the concrete patio echo the detailing of the front walkway, creating a cohesive design language throughout the property.

Additional plantings were added to enhance the wooded perimeter and help screen the new Sportcourt from the home. As part of the renovation, the existing landscape lighting system was also upgraded to improve nighttime ambiance and functionality.
