For this mid-century split-level home in New Berlin, Wisconsin, the homeowners wanted a landscape design that would fit with the architecture of their home. The master plan includes both front and backyard with new hardscapes as well as all new plantings.
We designed a new front walk to direct guests more clearly to the front door, eliminating a large area of asphalt in front of the home. We also designed a short cut with stone steps cutting an opening in the existing stone retaining wall.
For the backyard we created a new, expanded patio with spaces for grilling, dining and lounging. We designed a dedicated space for a future hot tub as well. New privacy plantings surround the new patio space and low voltage landscape lighting completes the design.
