Our client is a retired architect who designed his dream lake home with his wife, also an architect. We were tasked with designing a simple modern landscape that would coordinate well with the architecture of the home while also fitting with the natural setting of being on a lake.
This conceptual landscape design includes privacy plantings along the street of river birch trees in a stone mulch bed. For the driveway side of the home, a new front walk and Zen-like garden is placed directly in front of the large glass on the home. We also designed a new stone patio on the lake side of the home, with stepping stone path centered on our client's office which has a great view of the lake. Lakeside is a modern fire pit area with bluestone steppers and another privacy screen of birch trees.
