Traditional Landscape Makeover - Cedarburg, WI

Our clients existing landscape dated back to when the brick ranch was first built in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The backyard lacked entertaining space and the front yard did not have easy access to the front door for guests who park on the driveway. For the conceptual landscape design for the front yard the main focus of the design was adding a new front walk that connected the driveway to the front door. A secondary path of square stepping stones creates a connection to the street. Long blooming perennials along with boxwood and flowering shrubs fill the newly designed plant beds.

The focus of the backyard design was creating a larger patio for our client to entertain her family including grandchildren. The concrete patio has a brick border and includes spaces for grilling and dining as well as a separate area for a fire pit. A path of square stepping stones connects the backyard to the driveway. The front and back planting plans are coordinated but also reflect the different sun/shade conditions. Low voltage landscape lighting is included in the design.

Designed by James Drzewiecki, APLD and Hannah Paulson, landscape designer.
