Mid-Century John Randal McDonald Landscape - Glendale, WI

Our client purchased the Ravine House in River Hills, Wisconsin, designed by architect John Randal McDonald. The home was in need of extensive repairs and restoration work on the inside. Once that work had begun they turned their attention to the landscape surrounding the home. Existing patios were failing and not large enough for modern-day entertaining. The stone steps connecting front yard to backyard were crumbling and dangerous to walk on.

We were hired to do a complete landscape design for the property including patios, plantings and lighting. The design includes a new stone stepper path that connects the front door to the side yard and a new stone staircase. A small hot tub patio was created on the side of the home. This is connected to a larger dining and fire pit patio on the south side of the home. All new plantings and low voltage, landscape lighting completes the design.
