Our client purchased the Ravine House in River Hills, Wisconsin, designed by architect John Randal McDonald. The home required extensive interior restoration before attention turned to the surrounding landscape. Existing patios were failing and too small for modern entertaining, and the stone steps connecting the front and back yards were crumbling and unsafe.
We were hired to create a complete landscape design, including patios, plantings, and lighting. The design features a new stone stepper path connecting the front door to the side yard and a new stone staircase for safe, seamless circulation. A small hot tub patio was added on the side of the home, connecting to a larger dining and fire pit patio on the south side.
New plantings complement the architecture, and low-voltage landscape lighting enhances both safety and ambiance throughout the property.
