Transitional Patio & Landscape - Brookfield, WI

Our clients in Brookfield, Wisconsin only had a small concrete patio up against the back of their house which did not allow for much entertaining. The area outside the existing patio had been a large plant bed that had become overgrown and too hard to maintain. We used this space to expand patio space into the backyard and added a fire pit area in the process. Due to a change in slope, the fire pit portion of the new patio had to be supported by a retaining wall. As our clients preferred a more natural, rustic look, we went with lannon stone outcropping pieces. A grouping of ornamental grasses forms a green border around the edge of the corcular patio. We designed all new plantings around the back foundation of the home and the new patio space. Low voltage landscape lighting and a pondless water feature off the edge of the new patio complete this backyard design.
