Country Oasis

A new construction project, this property needed a full landscape design including front walk and patio spaces. The projecting three car garage necessitated a long front walk. We designed it in sections, outlined in stone cobbles to break up the distance visually. Ornamental trees and hardy shrubs anchor the landscape with many varieties of perennials and grasses adding seasonal color and bloom. A partially exposed basement created a grade change that we bridged with natural stone outcropping steps built into the required retaining wall. The steps connect an intimate lower patio to the upper patio that flanks the covered outdoor room. A flagstone paved fire pit area is a perfect place for the family to gather after dinner. Surrounding the patio spaces, perennials, grasses and shrubs are repeated from the front yard.
