Asian Inspired Backyard - Cedarburg, WI

Our client contacted us to update the curb appeal at the front of her home, as well as create a "Zen" retreat in her backyard. The site is mostly shaded, so a lot of thought went into what plants would do well in those conditions. We created a colorful garden that includes many shade-loving perennials, as well as shrubs and ornamental trees. A small conversation patio set in bluestone is surrounded by slate chip and Aqua Blue Granite boulders. Irregular bluestone steppers lead you on a winding path throughout the garden; over a wooden bridge, stopping at a wooden bench, through the dry creek's "water" and finally ending at a circular lawn panel. Now the backyard has a sense of calm and serenity our client was looking for.
