As part of a full‑property redesign completed alongside an extensive home remodel, this landscape celebrates the client’s love of natural stone and reintroduces lush plant life to the site. Strategically placed native boulders, integrated hardscape elements, and sweeping perennial and ornamental grass plantings create a warm, welcoming environment that feels both grounded and revitalized.

During the comprehensive remodel of our client’s childhood home, we were commissioned to design the entire landscape, planned and installed in thoughtful phases. The goal was to create an outdoor environment that honored the property’s history while embracing a fresh, naturalistic aesthetic.

Because the client has a deep appreciation for natural stone, specimen native boulders became a defining feature of the design. These stones were placed with intention—tucked into planting beds, incorporated into the paving layout, and used as sculptural accents that anchor the landscape. Their organic forms contrast beautifully with the home’s updated architecture, creating a sense of permanence and authenticity.

To bring nature back to the property, we introduced extensive perennial and ornamental grass plantings. These layers add movement, color, and seasonal interest while softening the stone elements and creating habitat for pollinators. The result is a landscape that feels alive and dynamic throughout the year.

Installed in phases to align with the home’s renovation, the completed design blends natural materials with a lush, contemporary planting palette -transforming a beloved childhood home into a rejuvenated, enduring property for the next chapter.
